How It Began
In 2022
In 2022 our Chairman Donna decided she wanted to help put food in peoples’ homes after seeing anonymous online posts. These families spoke of the rising cost of living and about having nearly no funds left for food.
People reached out to help
Other women saw what Donna was doing and reached out, also offering to help buy groceries for others.
Hands Up For Help
Many families reached out requesting help, all with a similar story. One member of the family working full time, the other either doing full time care with young kids or working part time around school hours. All struggling to make ends meet.
Working & Struggling
These were families scared about how they were going to feed the kids. Already working long hours, with not enough to cover the bills. Too high of an income for benefits, not destitute enough for help.
Embarrassed
No one wanting to admit publicly that they needed help, but the fear of not being able to feed the kids gave enough courage to reach out.
Today
Today we are supplying every day working Australians with items for lunchboxes that can feed their children and ease their food budget.
